REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 14, 1985 /s/ Beverly D. Crone Member of the Common Council /s/ Al B. Paszek Member of the Common Council /s/ John Voorde Member of the Common Council A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Council Member Beck read the resolution and presented it to Connie Green, who thanked the Council for the resolution. Council Member Serge made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. RESOLUTION NO. 1353 -85 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING THE HOLY FAMILY YOUTH GROUP. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, recognizes that it is fortunate to have a wide variety of private and public organizations serving the needs of our community; and WHEREAS, the Council recognizes that on the West Side of our City there is a very active organization known as the Holy Family Youth Group; and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to congratulate Bob Dudzinski, Youth Director, all of the behind - the - scenes members, the cast members, the musicians, and artists who sponsored and participated in the recent production of "Godspell "; and WHEREAS, the attendance of over 1,000 people of the three "Godspell" productions is a tribute to the success of persons of all ages working together. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, wishes to commend the Holy Family Youth Group, Bob Dudzinski, Youth Director, and all of the many individuals who worked to make the recent "Godspell" production such a success. SECTION II. The Council believes that groups of this type and productions of kind are positive examples of the many contributions make to our community by individuals who care about themselves and others. SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. /s/ Joseph T. Council Member Zakrzewski read the resolution and presented it to Bob Dudzinski, Youth Director of Holy Family. Mr. Dudzinski presented the cast members and thanked the.Council for the resolution. Council Member Taylor made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Paszek. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. Jim Ragland, of the South Bend Energy Commission, presented the Council with their annual report. He briefly covered the contents of the report. REPORTS Council Member Voorde indicated that the Zoning and Vacation Committee had met on Bill No. 73 -85 and 108 -85 and recommended them unfavorable. He indicated they had met on Bill nos. 98, 99, 100 and 114 -85 and recommended them favorable.. Council Member Braboy indicated that the Human Resources Committee had met on Bill nos. 115 and 116 -85, as ell as resolutions B, C and F and recommended them all favorable.
