Council Member Beck read <br />the resolution and presented it to Connie Green, who thanked the Council for the <br />resolution. Council Member Serge made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded <br />by Council Member Taylor. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine <br />ayes. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1353 -85 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING THE HOLY FAMILY YOUTH GROUP. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, recognizes that <br />it is fortunate to have a wide variety of private and public organizations serving <br />the needs of our community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council recognizes that on the West Side of our City there is a <br />very active organization known as the Holy Family Youth Group; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to congratulate Bob Dudzinski, Youth Director, all <br />of the behind - the - scenes members, the cast members, the musicians, and artists who <br />sponsored and participated in the recent production of "Godspell "; and <br />WHEREAS, the attendance of over 1,000 people of the three "Godspell" productions <br />is a tribute to the success of persons of all ages working together. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, wishes to <br />commend the Holy Family Youth Group, Bob Dudzinski, Youth Director, and all of the <br />many individuals who worked to make the recent "Godspell" production such a success. <br />SECTION II. The Council believes that groups of this type and productions of <br />kind are positive examples of the many contributions make to our community by <br />individuals who care about themselves and others. <br />SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />/s/ Joseph T. Council Member Zakrzewski <br />read the resolution and presented it to Bob Dudzinski, Youth Director of Holy <br />Family. Mr. Dudzinski presented the cast members and thanked the.Council for the <br />resolution. Council Member Taylor made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded <br />by Council Member Paszek. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine <br />ayes. <br />Jim Ragland, of the South Bend Energy Commission, presented the Council with their <br />annual report. He briefly covered the contents of the report. <br />REPORTS <br />Council Member Voorde indicated that the Zoning and Vacation Committee had met on <br />Bill No. 73 -85 and 108 -85 and recommended them unfavorable. He indicated they had <br />met on Bill nos. 98, 99, 100 and 114 -85 and recommended them favorable.. <br />Council Member Braboy indicated that the Human Resources Committee had met on Bill <br />nos. 115 and 116 -85, as ell as resolutions B, C and F and recommended them all <br />favorable. <br />
