APRIL 8, 1985 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BILL NO.19 -85 A BILL ESTABLISHING A NONREVERTING "EAST RACE WATERWAY <br />FUND." <br />i <br />E This bill had first reading. Council Member Serge made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing April 29, seconded by Council Member Taylor. <br />The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 20 -85 A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />SOUTH BEND AT SECTION 4 -22 REGULATING THE LICENSING OF <br />CARNIVALS AND CIRCUSES. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing April 29, seconded by Council Member Crone. <br />The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 21 -85 A BILL APPROPRIATING $30,00.00 FROM THE FEDERAL <br />ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE <br />GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND FOR THE 1985 SUMMER <br />CLEAN -UP PROGRAM. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to set this <br />bill for second reading and public hearing April 29, seconded by Council Member <br />Taylor. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 22 -85 A BILL ANNEXING AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LAND LOCATED IN PENN <br />TOWNSHIP, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Voorde made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing April 29, seconded by Council Member Taylor. <br />The motion carried. <br />I <br />BILL NO. 23 -85 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) (NORTH <br />OF INWOOD AND EAST OF IRONWOOD RDS.) <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Braboy made a motion to refer this bill <br />to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />David Wolf, President of the National Federation of the Blind, spoke to the Council <br />regarding TRANSPO. He indicated they would like to see the lot stay where it is, <br />however, it this is not possible, they favor on- street loading limiting the number <br />of loading busses at one time to three or four`. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, <br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Crone. <br />The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. <br />ATTEST: APPROVED: <br />City Clerk President <br />
