<br />A parcel of land being a part of Lot 9 and all of Lot 10 Perley Lumber Company
<br />addition and Lot 14 Stover and Witwer Addition and 14 feet adjacent vacated
<br />alley, South Bend, Indiana and being more particularly described as follows:
<br />Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Lot 14, thence North 00- 00' -00" East
<br />(Bearing Assumed) along the East right -of -way line of Main Street, a measured
<br />distance of 120.32 feet; thence South 890- 49' -37" East parallel with the North
<br />line of said Lot 9, a measured distance of 165.3 feet to the East line of said
<br />Lot 9; thence South 00- 00' -00" West along the East lines of said Lots 9 and 20,
<br />a measured distance of 14.0 feet to the_Northeast corner of said Lot 14;,thenc_e
<br />South Oo- 00'00" West along the -East Line of said Lot 14, a measured distance of
<br />45.0 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot_14' thence North__890- 49' -37" West
<br />along the South line of said Lot 14, a measured distance of 165.0 feet to the
<br />place of beginning containing 0.45 acres more or less.
<br />Lots Numbered Eleven (11) through Eighteen (18) both inclusive, as shown on the
<br />recorded Plat of Perley Lumber Company's Addition to the City of South Bend, in
<br />St. Joseph County, Indiana, as recorded in Plat Book 8, page 166, together with
<br />the North Half of the vacated alley lying South of and adjacent to Lot 11 in
<br />said Addition and together with the vacated alley lying West of and adjacent to
<br />said Lots 11 to 18, both inclusive, in said Addition.
<br />Lot Numbered Fifteen (15) as shown on the recorded Plat of Stover and Witwer's
<br />Addition to the Town of Myler, now within and a part of the City of South Bend,
<br />together with the South Half of the vacated alley lying North and adjacent to
<br />said Lot 15 in said Addition and together with the vacated alley lying West of
<br />and adjacent to said Lot 15 in said Addition.
<br />Subject to all real estate taxes, including without limitation, the taxes for
<br />the year 1983 due and payable in 1984 and all prior and subsequent taxes.
<br />be designated as an Economic Revitalization Area under the provisions of Indiana Code
<br />6 -1.1- 12.1 -1, et seq.; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Commission has concluded an investigation and prepared
<br />a report with information sufficient for the Common Council to determine that the
<br />area qualifies as an Economic Revitalization Area under Indiana Code.6- 1.1- 12.1 -1, et
<br />seq., and has further.,prepared maps-and plats showing the boundaries and such other_
<br />information as required by-law of the area in,question; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Human Resources and Economic Development Committee of the Common
<br />Council has reviewed said report and recommended to the Common Council that the area
<br />qualifies as an Economic Revitalization Area.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, as follows:
<br />SECTION I. That the Common Council hereby accepts the report and recommendation
<br />of the Human Resources and Economic Development Committee that the area herein described
<br />be designated an Economic Revitalization Area and hereby adopts a Resolution designating
<br />this area as an Economic Revitalization Area for purposes of Real property tax abatement.
<br />SECTION II. That this designation shall be limited to five (5) calendar years
<br />from the date of the adoption of this Resolution by the Common Council.
<br />SECTION III. That the Common Council directs the City Clerk to cause notice of
<br />the adoption of this resolution to be published, said publication providing notice of
<br />the public hearing before the Common Council on said declaration.
<br />SECTION IV. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
<br />its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

<br />RESOLUTION NO. 1213 -84 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
<br />DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY COMMONLY KNOWN AS
<br />1701, 1801, 1818, AND 1819 SOUTH MAIN STREET, AN ECONOMIC
<br />REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX
<br />ABATEMENT.
<br />WHEREAS, a petition for real property tax abatement consideration has been filed
<br />with the Common Council of the City of South Bend, requesting that the area commonly
<br />known as 1701, 1801, 1818 and 1819 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, and which
<br />is more particularly described by a line drawn as follows:
