<br />BILL NO. 123 -83 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY
<br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) (1815 EAST IRELAND
<br />ROAD)
<br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents
<br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Larry Magliozzi, of Area Plan,
<br />gave the staff report, which was favorable. Jack Dunfee, attorney for the petitioner,
<br />made the presentation for the bill. He indicated that this rezoning was being requested
<br />to add another physician in this building. Council Member Taylor made a motion to
<br />recommend this bill to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski.
<br />The motion carried.
<br />BILL NO. 130 -83 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY
<br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) (1017 S. 21ST. STREET)
<br />Council Member Voorde made a motion to strike this bill, seconded by Council Member
<br />Puzzello. The motion carried.
<br />BILL NO. 4 -84 A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, ESTABLISHING A NONREVERTING "MORRIS CIVIC AUDI-
<br />TORIUM IMPROVEMENT FUND."
<br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents
<br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Council Member Puzzello made a
<br />motion to amend this bill by changing present Section II to Section III; and new
<br />Section II to read as follows: Section II. Any and all interest earned on the monies
<br />deposited in said dedicated fund shall remain in the fund., seconded by Council Member
<br />Taylor. The motion carried. Brian Hedman, Director of Century Center, made the
<br />presentation for the bill. He indicated that the auditorium is structurally strong,
<br />however, many improvements are needed. He indicated that the major users of the
<br />Auditorium have endorsed the procedure that a portion of the ticket sales would be
<br />set aside for improvements. Council Member Braboy made a motion to recommend this
<br />bill to the Council favorable, as amended, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The
<br />motion, carried.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council
<br />Member Taylor made a motion to rise and report to the Council, seconded by Council
<br />Member Crone. The motion carried.

<br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Voorde made a motion to pass this bill,
<br />seconded byCouncil Member Serge. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes.
