ORDINANCE NO. (a SS g . 7 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $184,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND, AND $16,000.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER AND BUILDING AND SINKING FUND TO PROJECT R & S 61, MICHIGAN STREET -MAIN STREET CONNECTOR, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROADS AND STREETS FUND. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands, to provide the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, and to provide positive control of storm drainage, certain improvements have been proposed for the Michigan Street and Main Street Connector. Additional funds are now needed to pay the cost of land acquisition, engineering, and the cost of the construction of these improvements. These funds are available from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund, and Local Road and Street Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I: The following sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund, and the Local Road and Street Fund for the project in the amounts set forth below: PROJECT NO. LOCATION AMOUNT R & S 61 Michigan Street -Main Street Connector Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund $ 16,000.00 Local Road and Street Fund 184,000.00 TOTAL PROJECT $ 200,000.00 SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
