BILL NO. <br />ORDINANCE NO.& -? <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $60,089 FROM THE <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED <br />TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE MAYOR'S <br />ENVIRONMENTAL /ACTION CENTER TO BE ADMINISTERED <br />BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPART- <br />MENT OF ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Additional funds are needed by the Mayor's Environmental/ <br />Action Center to admin:i.ster its enforcement programs with regard to the <br />public health and safety, environmental protection and zoning. These funds <br />are, therefore, appropriated to insure the Department's ability to properly <br />perform these functions during the year of 1979. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $60,089 is hereby appropriated <br />for the year 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as <br />the General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be administered <br />by the Mayor's Environmental /Action Center and will be distributed as set <br />forth below: <br />FA 172 <br />SECTION II.
