BILL NO. ORDINANCE NO. `536 -7 9 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $28,636.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY RE- FERRED TO AS GENERAL RUENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF LAW. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are needed by the Department of Law to administer certain law enforcement programs with regard to the public health and safety, environmental protection and zoning. These funds are, therefore, appropriated to insure the Departments's ability to properly perform these functions during the year of 197;9• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the sum of $28,636.00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund.
