ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ ~ ~ _ ~~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 8, SECTION 2-121 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ENTITLED CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT In 2002, the City's Wage Negotiating Team was appointed by the City Administration and Common Council to negotiate salary and fringe benefits on behalf of the City. Following a series of negotiating sessions, agreements were reached with regard to specific pay policies and procedures. As a result of these agreements, Ordinance Nos. 9350-02 and 9351-02 were passed by the Common Council and a subsequent written agreement was approved by the City and Teamster Local No. 364. The following Ordinance amends the relevant sections of the City Code addressing holidays. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: Section I. Chapter 2, Article 8, Section 2-121 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2-121 Holidays. (a) Officers and employees shall receive nine 9 designated holidays as approved by the Board of Public Works and t~va-(z~ one 1 additional nondesignated holiday.
