Filed in Clerk's Office <br /> Jan 21, 2026 <br /> BILL NO. 26-04 Bianca Tirado <br /> City Clerk, South Bend, IN <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL APPOINTING <br /> SHARON BANICKI AND KOMONIQUE THOMAS TO THREE-YEAR TERMS AS <br /> MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY POLICE REVIEW BOARD <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2-12.1.13(a)(3) of the South Bend Municipal Code addressing the <br /> Community Police Review Board provides in relevant part: "After the term of each initial <br /> Member is completed, the Common Council shall appoint Members with each Member <br /> serving a three (3)year term or term or until their successors are appointed,but for no <br /> longer than sixty (60)days beyond the expiration of their term." and <br /> WHEREAS,there are currently vacancies among the members of the Review Board <br /> following the completion of initial terms. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend appoints Sharon Banicki, nominated by 6th District Council Member Sheila <br /> Niezgodski,and Komonique Thomas, nominated by at-large Council Member Karen White, to <br /> three-year terms as a members of the Community Police Review Board. <br /> Canneth J.
