ORDINANCE NO. ~ 3 ~ ~ '~ ~- <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $83,900.00 FROM THE <br />MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />(FUND NUMBER 416) <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The Morris Performing Arts Center Improvement Fund (Fund No. 416) was established <br />for the purpose of renovating, remodeling, or otherwise improving the facilities at the Morris <br />Performing Arts Center. The Morris Performing Arts Center desires to make certain capital <br />improvements that will enhance its status as an efficient, updated, performing arts facility. These <br />proposed capital expenditures include $6,000.00 for Computer Cazds for the telephone system, <br />that will allow us to expand our communications capabilities; $16,700.00 for canopies at the box <br />office entrance and the Colfax side of the building; $19,500.00 for security system and lock <br />upgrades to the entire complex; $38,500.00 to add a dumpster/compactor for the refuse generated <br />by the Morris Complex; $850.00 for a pallet truck to move lazge items delivered to the Morris <br />loading dock and $2,350.00 to re-seal the gold leaf on the ceiling of the Morris Grand Lobby. <br />The Common Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of South <br />Bend to appropriate the requested funds from the Morris Civic Improvement Fund (Fund No. <br />416) for the requested purchase of the items noted above. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: ' <br />Section I. The following sums of money aze hereby appropriated and ordered set <br />apart from and within the Moms Performing Arts Center Improvement Fund for the purchase of <br />necessary equipment and services. <br />Account Number Description Amount <br />416 Morris Performing Arts $83,900.00 <br />Center Improvement Fund <br />Section II.
