BILL NO. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $123,500.00 FROM THE <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO <br />AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE DESIGN OF <br />THE EAST RACE PROJECT, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />PARKS. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />WHEREAS, the City would like to proceed with the development <br />of the East Riverbank as outlined in the St. Joseph River Corridor <br />Report of 1973. Funds are now needed for the required engineering <br />services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $123,500.00 is hereby appropriated <br />from General Revenue Sharing for the design of the East Race Project. <br />This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Public <br />Parks as set forth below: <br />PROGRAM FA 181 <br />EAST RACE PROJECT <br />ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT <br />260.0 Other Contractual Services $ 123,500.00 <br />TOTAL FA 181 $ 123,500.00 <br />SECTION II.
