East Res. <br />*Funds are subject to the City Controller's determination of availability; if funds are unavailable, as solely determined by the City Controller, <br />then the authorization of the expenditure of such funds shall be void and of no effect. <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: <br />Staff is requesting funds to cover the O’Brien Park Splashpad and Restroom Project. <br />The request is for $1,700,000.00 South Side development area to cover construction costs. <br />SPECIFICS: <br />The funds would be used for major improvements around the park. This includes the installation of a new <br />restroom building near the splashpad meeting Indiana Pool Code IAC 20-5-25. The replacement of the <br />existing playground and the existing splashpad both of which are nearing the end of their useful life <br />cycles. The addition of formal parking spaces along the park, increasing safety from vehicle traffic.
