Stancati, Director of Utilities <br />SUBJECT: Ordinance for Purchase of Chemicals <br />The Bureau of Water is presenting an Ordinance to the Common Council <br />for the purchase of chemicals for use by the Water Works from June 1, 1979 to <br />June 1, 1980 in the amount of $49,937.50. Said chemicals are to be used for <br />purification of water and additives beneficial to health. <br />Bids were let pursuant to the Statutes of the State of Indiana and <br />were found competitive. The Contract was awarded to (1) Van Waters & Rogers, <br />South Bend, Indiana; (2) Jones Chemicals, Inc., Beech Grove, Indiana; (3) <br />Chemtech Industries, Inc., St. Louis, Missouri; and (4) Watcon, Inc., South Bend, <br />Indiana, by the Board of Water Works Commissioners on the 5th day of March, 1979, <br />as being the lowest and best bids.
