Page 1 of 1 <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />TO: Hillary Horvath, Clerk <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Zach Hurst, PE, Sr. Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Award Bid - Project No. 119-031E <br />Drewry’s Brewery Cleanup, Phase III – Remaining Foundations <br />DATE: 12/11/2025 <br />On December 9, 2025, the Board of Public Works opened and read bids for the above project. <br />The scope of work is demolition and removal of the remaining building foundations at the former <br />Drewry’s Brewery parcel. The smokestack will remain in place. <br />Four bids were received: <br />Contractor: TOTAL: <br />Green Demolition $409,800 <br />Ritschard Bros. $419,235 <br />Indiana Earth $434,300 <br />HRP Construction $749,000 <br />Upon review of the bids, the low bid from Green Demolition must be rejected as non-responsive. <br />Two addenda were issued for the project – Green Demolition neglected to acknowledge both <br />addenda. <br />The second low bid from Ritschard Brothers is complete and responsive. They met both the <br />MWBE goals, are prequalified as a Responsible Bidder with the City, and acknowledged both <br />addenda. <br />I recommend award of the bid for Drewry’s Brewery Cleanup, Phase III to Ritschard Brothers, <br />in the amount of $419,235. Funding is available through PR-00044160.
