East Res. <br />* Funds are subject to the City Controller's determination of availability; if funds are unavailable, as solely determined by the City Controller, <br />then the authorization of the expenditure of such funds shall be void and of no effect. <br /> <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Budget request for $125,000 to be provided to Dismas House of Indiana, Inc. via <br />a donation agreement <br /> <br />SPECIFICS: Dismas House, located on South Saint Joseph Street, provides housing and programming— <br />including employment assistance—for individuals reentering our community following incarceration. <br />Through a strong network of support, the organization helps residents rebuild their lives with dignity and <br />purpose. <br /> <br />Recently, Dismas House acquired the building at 402 East South Street, now serving as The Dismas Hub. <br />This community space allows the organization to expand its programming and deepen its impact. The <br />building also includes apartments on the second floor, further supporting transitional housing needs. <br /> <br />While the Dismas Hub building is in good shape, it needs a new roof.
