SECTION XXXVII. Chapter 21, Zoning,of the South Bend Municipal Code, Article 8 <br /> Building Standards, Section 21-08.01 Building Standards, subsection(c) Building Design is <br /> hereby amended as follows: <br /> (2) Primary facades shall be oriented to a front lot line. Building designs that <br /> orient main entrances so that they are not visible from the primary street are <br /> prohibited. Any entrance on a side facade shall be visible from the street or <br /> clearly identified using architectural features, awnings/canopies, or lighting. <br /> The Zoning Administrator may waive this requirement for buildings oriented <br /> to a common open space or for Agricultural: Industrial, Manufacturing, & <br /> Processing: Transportation: and Utilities uses in an I district. <br /> SECTION XXXVIII. Chapter 21,Zoning,of the South Bend Municipal Code, Article 8 <br /> Building Standards, Section 21-08.01 Building Standards, subsection(e)Building Materials <br /> for New Construction—Front and Corner Facades is hereby amended as follows: <br /> (3) Standard, fluted, or split face concrete masonry units (CMUs)above the <br /> basement level are prohibited as face material.
