4CASCADE
cart solutions
a cascade engineering company
TECHNOLOGY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY
RFID Integration
Cascade Carts are guaranteed to the highest standards.
Each Cascade cart is manufactured with the RFID tags. The
tags are encapsulated RFID tags, located under the rim of the
cart, designed to withstand harsh environments, and function
in a wide range of temperatures. Whether you're looking to
implement technology at this point or not, the cart comes with
the infrastructure in place for asset management or collection
verification.
EcoCart: Using Curbside Recyclables in Cart Production
Cascade manufactures injection molded carts from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). Our
material is supplied by the three major petrochemical companies which are Exxon Mobil
Chemical, Chevron Phillips Chemical, and NOVA Chemical. Every cart shipped out of our
facility contains recycled content either from PCR (post -consumer recycle) or PIR (post-
industrial recycle) content. We incorporate recycled content into our products to reduce virgin
material consumption, working to create a closed loop system where products are recycled at
the end of their useful life and made into something new.
Our latest innovation, the EcoCart, is the future of adding
recycling content into the carts. In 2021, we became the first
container company to integrate household curbside recycled
HDPE (Bulky Rigid) into the manufacturing of our carts. Our
EcoCart, is comprised of 10% Post Consumer plastics
recovered in curbside recycling programs is advancing the
circular economy of plastics recycling domestically. Material
recycled at the streets, in our recycling carts, is being recovered
and then manufactured into new trash and recycling carts. With
the addition of other more traditional forms of PCR we are able
to produce a product with upwards of 50% total PCR (including
10% recovered curbside PCCR) in the cart depending on the
color. The use of recycled content in our carts is
comprehensive, as we maximize the recycled content used
without impacting the appearance or durability of the cart.
www.cascadecartsolutions.com
