REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 12, 2025 223 WHEREAS, Section 17-85 of the Municipal Code permits a single family residential real property owner to pay water/sewer installation charges by making sixty (60) monthly installment payments with an interest rate two (2) percent below the City's prime borrowing rate; and WHEREAS, the interest rate at the commencement of a residential owner's sixty - month payment plan shall remain constant throughout the sixty -month term. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Board establishes the Prime Borrowing Rate for calendar year 2026 at a two (2) percent interest rate. 2. The effective date of this Resolution is December 1, 2025. Horvath, Clerk ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 26-2025 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS RENAMING WAYNE STREET GARAGE TO CITY HALL GARAGE Upon a motion made by VP Molnar, seconded by Ms. Micou and carried by roll call, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 26-2025 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS RENAMING WAYNE STREET GARAGE TO CITY HALL GARAGE WHEREAS, the City of South Bend Board of Public Works ("Board") is the contracting body for the City of South Bend, Indiana ("City"); and WHEREAS, the Board has custody of real property owned by the City pursuant to Ind. Code Section 36-9-6-3; and WHEREAS, the parking garage located at 121 East Wayne Street, South Bend, Indiana 46601, more commonly referred to as "Wayne Street Garage" (the "Garage") is deeded to the Civil City of South Bend, IN and controlled by the Board; and WHEREAS, the Board wishes to rename the Garage "City Hall Garage" to align the Garage with the City's October 13, 2025, transition to the new City Hall, now located at 215 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., South Bend, Indiana 46601; and WHEREAS, the Board wishes to authorize City personnel to effectuate this name change both on the Garage and with the United States Postal Service.
