BILL NO.138 -79 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $22,000.00 FROM <br />THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY KNOWN <br />AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS <br />PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED <br />BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE BUREAU <br />OF POLICE. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Additional funds are needed by the Bureau of Police to <br />administer certain programs and to ensure the Department's ability <br />to properly perform its functions during the year 1979: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $22,000.00 is hereby appropriated <br />for the year 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grand Fund commonly <br />known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation <br />is to be administered by the Bureau of Police and will be <br />distributed as set forth below: <br />PROGRAM FA 189 <br />BUREAU OF POLICE MEDICAL EXPENSES <br />Account Description Amount <br />Contractual 262.0 Medical, Surgical, Dental $ 22,000.00 <br />Total Budget Appropriation $ 22,000.00 <br />SECTION II.
