NEMETH, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />November 13, 1979 <br />Members of the Council <br />South Bend Common Council <br />4th Floor <br />City of South Bend <br />Dear Council Members: <br />There will be presented at the first reading of the <br />November 15, 1979 Council Meeting two (2) Ordinances <br />appropriating additional funds to the Bureau of Solid <br />Waste and the Bureau of Sewers within the Division of <br />Utilities. <br />219/284 -9742 <br />The Bureau of Solid Waste needs additional funds to pay <br />wages the balance of 1979 for those individuals who <br />were absorbed because of the loss of funding through <br />CETA. Now that the Solid Waste program is finally <br />showing great progress, these individuals are needed. <br />In addition, the Bureau of Sewers needs additional funding <br />in several areas to make their budget truly reflect their <br />level of operations.
