NEMETH, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />November 13, 1979 <br />Members of the Council <br />South Bend Common Council <br />4th Floor <br />City of South Bend <br />Dear Council Members: <br />219/284 -9742 <br />There will be presented for your consideration at <br />first reading of the November 15, 1979 Council Meeting <br />several Ordinances making transfers within the many <br />operating funds of the City and their respective <br />departments. <br />These Ordinances do not represent the appropriation of <br />additional money, but rather a change in priorities which <br />in turn necessitates the transferring of funds dictated <br />by the City's needs. <br />As you are aware, the City, during 1979, has faced several <br />events during which we could not specifically control or <br />budget the expense such as: the Cities and Towns <br />Convention, the winter of 1978 -1979, our general elections, <br />and the withdrawing of previously funded CETA positions. <br />As always, I will be glad to supply any additional informa- <br />tion or answer questions concerning this matter. <br />Sincerely, <br />Q, . v <br />Michael L.
