SPECIAL REQUEST OF NEIGHBORS NEAR PARKOVASH PARK <br />What: <br />Special Event "Parkovash Band and Friends at Parkovash Park" <br />When: <br />Saturday, August 23, 2025 <br />4-8pm <br />Where: <br />Parkovash Park <br />Who: <br />a North Shore Triangle Neighborhood Association event <br />Backeround Information/The Vision <br />The North Shore Triangle Neighborhood Association was approached by a local70-80's cover <br />band, Parkovash, that originated in the North Shore Triangleto reunite and perform a free, early - <br />evening, family -friendly (no -alcohol) concert forthe neighborhood in Parkovash Park. The NSTNA <br />Board of Directors voted favorablyto pursue permission from South Bend Venues Parks and Arts <br />(SBVPA) to host a special event. And it seems based on the input of NST neighbors that there is <br />support for such an event. However, we would like to have yourfeedback specifically as a near - <br />neighbor to the park. <br />Schedule <br />12-4 pm Set-up (picnic tables and chairs, stage area/Boomer, trash receptacles, etc.) <br />4-6 pm Food Truck(s) availableforpick-up of pre -orders &walk-up orders <br />Begin street/intersection closures —full or partial. <br />4-5 pm Warm-up featuring musicaltalentfrom NST neighborhood. <br />5-8 pm Featured band "Parkovash" performs <br />8-9 pm Clean-up&event tear -down <br />Bathroom facilities will be available at the Unity Garden sight (Angela Hill), neighbors' own homes, <br />and any park -adjacent neighbor wishing to provide access (please notify <br />NorthShoreTrianpte(@gmaii.com if you are interested in this). <br />Special Considerations <br />We are requesting permission from the Board of Public Works to have some partial and some full <br />closures of intersections —intersections that are either adjacent or in close proximityto the park. <br />We need to take precautions against anyone attempting to drive into (or near) the park during the <br />event. We expect property owners and their vehicles will maintain access to their property <br />throughout the duration of the event. Inconvenience will be minimized as we maximize the safety <br />• of those attending the event. Here is what we are requesting: <br />
