8. Clarifications and Interpretations, Request for Information Forms, and Field Orders. <br />8.1. Issue clarifications and interpretations of the Contract Documents as appropriate to the orderly <br />completion of Contractor's work. Up to a total of 40 clarifications, interpretations, request for <br />information, and/orfield orders are assumed in the budget estimate forthis task. Donohue may <br />issue Field Orders authorizing minor variations from the requirements of the Contract <br />Documents. <br />9. Change Orders, Work Change Directives and Request for Proposals. <br />9.1. Prepare Change Orders, Work Change Directives and Requests for Proposals and recommend <br />Change Orders and Work Change Directives to Owner for approval by Owner as required. In <br />addition, Donohue shall prepare all documentation that appropriate governmental authorities <br />having jurisdiction over the project may require for review and approval of the Change Orders. <br />Preparing up to 8 requests for proposals and up to 4 formal change orders and associated <br />supporting documentation is assumed in the budget estimate for this task. <br />10. Shop Drawings and Samples <br />10.1. Review and approve or take other appropriate action in respect to Shop Drawings and Samples <br />and other data that Contractor is required to submit, but only for conformance with the <br />information given in the Contract Documents and compatibility with the design concept of <br />completed Project as a functioning whole as indicated in the Contract Documents. Such <br />reviews and approvals or other action will not extend to means, methods, techniques, <br />sequences, or procedures of construction or to safety precautions and programs incident <br />thereto. <br />10.2. Review of approximately 80 initial shop drawing submittals or shop drawing submittals that <br />are approvable by Donohue are assumed in the budget estimate in this task. An allowance for <br />approximately 15-percent of the submittals to require 1 or more resubmittals prior to approval <br />by Donohue is also assumed in the budget estimate for this task. <br />11. Manufacturer O&M Manuals. <br />11.1. Review submitted manufacturer O&M manuals for compliance with contract document <br />requirements. After the O&M manuals are determined to be acceptable, they will be <br />transmitted to the Owner. Review of 15 manufacturer O&M manuals are assumed in the <br />budget estimate for this task. <br />12. Substitutes and "or -equal." <br />12.1. Evaluate and determine the acceptability of substitute or "or -equal" materials and equipment <br />proposed by Contractor. <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />
