ORDINANCE NO. 6726 -80 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $3,200.00 FROM THE <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO <br />AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR DOG ENFORCEMENT <br />PERSONNEL, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS MAYOR'S ACTION CENTER. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Additional funds are needed by the Mayor's Action Center <br />to administer certain dog programs with.regard to the public <br />health and safety. These funds are, therefore, appropriated <br />to insure the Department's ability to property perform these <br />functions during the year of 1980. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, as follows: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $3,200.00 is hereby appropriated <br />for the year 1980 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly <br />known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund. _This appropriation is <br />to be administered.by the Mayor's Action Center and will be dis- <br />tributed as set forth below: <br />PROGRAM FA 195 <br />DOG ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL <br />ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT <br />110.0 Salaries and Wages, Reg. $3,200.00 <br />TOTAL FA 195 $3,200.00 <br />SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect January 2, 1980 after its passage by the Common Council, <br />approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory <br />requirements for emergency funding. <br />Passed, as amended, January 14, 1980 <br />
