Overall <br />the amendments would: <br />(1) Require all angle parking spaces to be 13 feet wide <br />to enable the chair lifts to properly operate. <br />(2) Require handicapped parking spaces to have "Tow <br />Away Zone" signs posted. <br />(3) Include a $50.00 fine plus tow away charges for <br />motor vehicles found illegally parking in such spaces. <br />I believe these amendments would better serve the <br />interests of our handicapped population. Hopefully, <br />with the passage of this bill, and stepped up enforcement, <br />the present parking problems will be substantially reduced. <br />I seek your support, <br />LAM /vld <br />Si cerely, <br />Lewis A.
