• Sec.6-4.7.Time limitation on permits. (a) All permits issued by the Building Department,except where stricter limits are specifically stated in this chapter or in Chapter 21.the Zoning ordinance,shall be valid when work is started within six(6)months from the date of issuance and completed within one(1)year. (b) By request,an extension of six(6)months may be granted,with a maximum of two(2)such extensions. 4 (1)—If work is not completed within two(2)years from the date of issuance,a new permit shall be required.The fees for building permits shall be based on the cost of completion of the work.The fees for all other permits shall be based on the apparatus, equipment,and/or wiring being installed or performed in accordance to the fees listed for that work in this chapter. Failure to remove a structure,if ordered pursuant to this subsection.shall he subject to citation for violation of the Municipal Formatted:Font color:Auto (Ord.No.9902-09,§II,2-9-09) Sec.6-4.8 Inspections and Investigations —All Construction is subject to periodic inspections by the Building Commissioner irrespective of whether a building permit has been,or is required to be,obtained for the purposes of determining myhether the structure meets building standards and procedures and ascertaining, whether the construction and procedures have been accomplished nI a manner consistent with this Building Ordinance and the rules of the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission.Nothing in this Code shall be considered a conflict of or more stringent than the rules of the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission as set forth in I.C. 22-12-2- 5(b) Sec.6-4.9('lass 2 Structure Permits,Plan Revioi,and Inspections ta) This section shall apply effective Januar\ I.21126 and only to Class 2 structures and applies only in those circumstances when the City requires a building permit.plan review.or inspection for the construction of Class 2 structure (b) Where this Section applies.the plan review or inspection required under subsection(al shall be alloyed to be conducted b‘ either: (I I An indis idual employed by the City as a building inspector: (2) An indi idual employ ed by another city.town,or county as a building inspector:or (3) A private provider who is: a.
