The City purchased this lot in <br />1992. Per direction from the Executive Director of the Department of Community & Economic Development <br />(C&ED), the City, through C&ED, will now work with its partners prior to disposition of City property located in <br />their project areas. In this case it is the Northeast Neighborhood Revitalization Organization (NNRO). <br />Habitat for Humanity (HFH) recently expressed interest in another City -owned lot on Campeau, the disposition <br />of which the NNRO opposed. However, the City and NNRO were both committed to assisting HFH in locating <br />another lot in the general area. The City -owned vacant lot at 1247 Howard was identified, suggested to HFH, and <br />received their approval; hence, their request for this lot. <br />C&ED supports this request from HFH and recommends an expedited disposition. <br />If the Board approves this request, please notify me and Central Services. Central Services is responsible for <br />mowing City -owned vacant lots, and notice would afford them the opportunity to remove this lot from their <br />mowing program. <br />If you have any questions, please call me at 235-5879 <br />Cc: Pamela C.
