Jackson, being duly sworn upon his oath deposes <br />and says that he is more than 73 years of age, and that he has <br />been a resident of the City of South Bend, said county and state <br />for more than 53 years last past. <br />Affiant further states that for more trran 52 years last pasjt <br />he has been engaged in the practice of law in said county and state, <br />and by reason of his long residence in said county he was famili <br />with, and personally knew one Edward McCartney, sometimes <br />designated Edward J. McCartney. And affiant states that Edward <br />McCartney and Edward J. McCartney is one and the same individual <br />and that the true and correct des nation of said name is Edward <br />J. McCartney, who was one of the heirs of Benjamin F. McCartney, <br />deceased. <br />Affiant further states that the said Edward J. McCartney, <br />together with his mother Louisa McCartney, and his brother, <br />Charles F. McCartney, were the sole and only heirs of Benjamin <br />F. McCartney deceased. <br />This affidavit is made for the purpose of aidine the title <br />to the South half of the Southwest Quarter of Section No.3 5, <br />Township No. 38 North, Range No.? East, and also the West fracti <br />of the South Fast quarter of Section No.35, Township No-38 North, <br />
