ORDINANCE N0. 6982 -81 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE <br />SECTION 17 -46, COLLECTION OR DEFERRED PAYMENT CHARGE <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT. <br />In order to facilitate the collection of bills from <br />customers for water services, it is necessary to decrease the number <br />of days from the due date for the imposition of a collection or <br />deferred payment charge for failure to pay for such services. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the <br />City of South Bend that: <br />SECTION I. That Section 17 -46 of the South Bend <br />Municipal Code be amended to read as follows: <br />Section 17 -46. Collection or deferred payment charge. <br />All bills for water services, not paid within fifteen - {15) <br />five (5) days from the due date thereof, as stated in such bills, <br />shall be subject to a collection or deferred payment charge of ten <br />(10) percent on the €1$- S }- Dellas- {5:88 -aid- three- {3�- peeent <br />ems- the- eeess- see- S3- Dellas- {6,80: total amount past due. <br />SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by <br />the Mayor, and publication according to statute. <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Passed, as amended, October 26, 1981 <br />
