ORDINANCE N0. 6982 -81 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 17 -46, COLLECTION OR DEFERRED PAYMENT CHARGE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT. In order to facilitate the collection of bills from customers for water services, it is necessary to decrease the number of days from the due date for the imposition of a collection or deferred payment charge for failure to pay for such services. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend that: SECTION I. That Section 17 -46 of the South Bend Municipal Code be amended to read as follows: Section 17 -46. Collection or deferred payment charge. All bills for water services, not paid within fifteen - {15) five (5) days from the due date thereof, as stated in such bills, shall be subject to a collection or deferred payment charge of ten (10) percent on the €1$- S }- Dellas- {5:88 -aid- three- {3�- peeent ems- the- eeess- see- S3- Dellas- {6,80: total amount past due. SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and publication according to statute.
