CITY of SOUTH BEND
ROGER O. PARENT, Mayor
COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601
John E. Leszczynski
Director, Public Works Division of (219) 284 -9251
Engineering
October 6, 1981
Members of the Common Council
4th Floor Council Chambers
County -City Building
South Bend, IN 46601
Dear Council Members:
The attached Ordinance appropriates the sum of $19,928.04 for the City's
share of part of the Hawbaker Sanitary Sewer Project being constructed
under the Barrett Law Project. This cost is for the sewers constructed on
Hawbaker Street. The total cost of the project is $39,991.38. The City's
share of the total cost was $19,995.69, however, the City incurred legal
advertisement costs on behalf of the project in the amount of $67.65, which
was credited against the City's share, leaving a net assessment to be paid
of $19,928.04. The balance in the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund after approval of this proposed ordinance is $1,536,221.40.
We ask that you give favorable consideration to this Ordinance.
Very truly yours,

John E. Leszczynski
Director
JEL /mkm
Attachment
