The kitchen window is a
later addition and has been modified with a spring assist opening mechanism. The window is inoperable and has been blocked shut after
damage from a break-in. The window is in poor condition.

The other rear window is is fair condition. The upper shaes is skewed and is in need of stabilization. Both sashes are in need of reglazing and
exterior paint. This window matches all the other original 1830s windows.

All the original windows in the house are in need or reglazing and exterior paint but appear to be in fair to good condition. A close
inspection was conducted only on the windows being requested for replacement. The other windows in the house were observed from the
exterior. Two windows in the same room as the window for replacement were visually inspected from the interior.
We advised the property owners to obtain a quote from a carpenter or craftsman for the repair of the
1830s window.
3/28/2025 11:03 am
James and Christine Reilly
Ross Van Overberghe
Historic Preservation Specialist
