Bauer, Community Development Director _�j► <br />SUBJECT: CDBG Appropriation Ordinance <br />DATE: July 8, 1980 <br />The Division of Community Development is submitting for your <br />consideration, an appropriation bill totalling $4,357,000.00 to be <br />used for thirty -five (35) activities as approved by the United States <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development for the City of South Bend's <br />1980 Community Development Program. <br />As you may recall, these activities were previously discussed with <br />you in a Common Council Caucus meeting on the evening of February 18, <br />1980. At that time you received a handout entitled, Summary: Community <br />Development Block Grant Application 1980. You may find pages 4 -17 a <br />helpful reference for capsule descriptions of the project activities. <br />A 1980 Annual Community Development Block Grant Application was <br />also relayed to all Common Council Members on May 12, 1980. This <br />document provides more detailed activity explanations in the section <br />labeled, "Project Summary." <br />I will be meeting with the Common Council Human Resources and <br />Economic Development Subcommittee on Thursday, July 17, 1980 at 4:30 p.m. <br />to fully discuss the attached ordinance. <br />Should you wish further information, please contact me at your <br />convenience. <br />I request your favorable consideration of this bill. <br />Attachment <br />cc: Mayor Roger 0.
