This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Kevin Joyce, a planner in Area <br />Plan, gave the presentation for the bill. He indicated this bill was required to <br />keep the City in compliance with the National Floodplain Insurance Program <br />regulations set forth by the Federal government. Melinda Mallard, 205 S. Chicago, <br />spoke in favor of this bill. Council Member Niezgodski made a motion to recommend <br />this bill to the Council favorably, seconded by Council Member Coleman. The motion <br />carried. <br />There being no further business to <br />Member Voorde made a motion to rise <br />Member Luecke.
