REGULAR MEETING MARCH 11, 2025 43 Board Attorney Michael Schmidt noted that for item 2.A and 2. B, that there may be an opening and an award because this is an important service that the City provides and we are a little behind on this award and there are outstanding invoices that we have to make decisions on. President Maradik clarified that it’s more of approving them and placing them on a rotational list. Attorney Schmidt added that it is also a rolling approval, so other companies are able to join in throughout the year. Micou, Member REGULAR MEETING MARCH 11, 2025 The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:31 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, by Board President Elizabeth A. Maradik in the 13th Floor Conference Room of the County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, Indiana. The meeting was also streamed live to the public via Microsoft Teams. Board Clerk Theresa Heffner confirmed the presence of Board President Elizabeth A. Maradik, Vice President Joseph Molnar (Arrived at 9:32 a.m.), and Board Members Gary Gilot, Murray Miller, Breana Micou (Not present), and Board Attorney Michael Schmidt, with a roll call. President Maradik reminded virtual attendees to mute their microphones and turn off their cameras when not speaking, and to save their questions and comments for the Privilege of the Floor. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mr. Miller, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried by roll call, the minutes for the Agenda Review Session and Regular Meetings of the Board held on February 20, and February 25, 2025, were approved. VP Molnar was not present for the approval of this item. OPENING OF APPLICATIONS – 2025 WATER WORKS UTILITY SERVICE LINE REPAIR PROGRAM Mr. Ken Smith, Water Works, advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed applications for the above referenced project. President Maradik stated the applications will be reviewed and scored based on a matrix system, by a team made up of City representatives. Attorney Michael Schmidt read the names of the following companies submitting applications: BOB FRAME PLUMBING SERVICES, INC. 2442 Jaclyn Court South Bend, IN 46614 Carol@frameplumbing.com Application was submitted by Mr. David P. Frame Non-Collusion, Non-Discrimination Affidavit Form was completed. The contractor’s Bond was received. March 25, 2025
