aU? <br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 8, 1993 <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, 46628, TO BE AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION <br />AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A TEN YEAR REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT <br />FOR SIDNEY MOORE, JR. AND DOROTHY D. MOORE. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana has adopted a <br />Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Economic <br />Revitalization Areas for the purpose of tax abatement consideration; and <br />WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as 645 <br />Wilber South and which is more particularly described as follows: <br />Lots numbered one hundred six (106), one hundred seven (107), one hundred eight <br />(108) and one hundred nine (109) as shown on the recorded Plat of Kauffman Place <br />Addition to the City of South Bend, recorded in Plat Book 9, page 57 in the <br />Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />with said real estate having the following Key No. 18 2016 0465, as an Economic <br />Revitalization Area; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of a Declaratory Resolution and the public <br />hearing before the Council has been published pursuant to Indiana Code <br />6- 1.1- 12- .1 -2.5; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing for the purposes of hearing all <br />remonstrances and objections from interested persons; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the qualifications for an economic <br />revitalization area have been met. <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, as follows. <br />Section I. The Common Council hereby confirms its Declaratory Resolution <br />designating the area described herein as an Economic Revitalization Area for the <br />purposes of tax abatement. Such designation is for Real Property tax abatement only <br />and is limited to two (2) calendar years from the date of adoption of the <br />Declaratory Resolution by the Common Council. <br />Section II. The Common Council hereby determines that the property owner is <br />qualified for and is granted real property tax deduction for a period of ten (10) <br />years, and further determines that the petition complies with Chapter 2, Article 6, <br />of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend and Indiana Code 6 -1.1 -12.1 et seq. <br />Section III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />/s/ Stephen Luecke <br />Member of the Common Council <br />A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Kenneth Fedder, attorney, <br />made the presentation. He indicated Astar, Inc. is a manufacturer of injected <br />plastic molded products. He indicated the Moore's own the property, and Astar, Inc. <br />will own the equipment; the project calls for construction of a new building of <br />11,000 square feet, rehabilitation of an existing building of 5000 square feet and <br />installation of new injected plastic molding equipment. Council Member Coleman made <br />a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2018 -93, seconded by Council Member Ladewski. The <br />resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. Council Member Puzzello <br />made a motion to adopt amended Resolution No. 2019 -93, seconded by Council Member <br />Coleman. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 -93 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 3615 AND 3511 WEST <br />VOORDE DRIVE, TO BE AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR <br />PURPOSES OF A 5 YEAR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR <br />CAPITOL TECHNOLOGIES, INC. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana has adopted a <br />Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Economic <br />Revitalization Areas for the purpose of tax abatement consideration; and <br />WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as 3615 and <br />3511 West Voorde Drive and which is more particularly described as follows: <br />2.664 AC BEG. 814 FT. SO. & 727.2 E CENTER SEC. 22 -28 -2E 3511 Voorde Drive, <br />South Bend, Indiana and this property has Key Number 18- 02184693816, and 3511 <br />West Voorde Drive, and which is more particularly described as follows: Beg. <br />815.52's & 1348.23' W NE Cor.
