The project will be bid as two separate Bid Packages.
Public Works will evaluate the bid pricing of each design alternative prior to project award.

Bid Package #1 includes a chlorine detention tank, pumping equipment, well improvements,
and water treatment process improvements. Bid Package #1 will be a single, non-divisible bid.

Bid Package #2 includes a chlorine detention pipe, site work, injection vaults, well
improvements, and water building process improvements. Bid Package #2 will be bid as a
Divisible Bid with Division A Treatment Process and Building Improvements and Division B
Pipe Installation and Site Work Improvements. This alternative has enough variation in scope
items that may encourage different contractors to be one or both Divisions.

The Department of Public Works, Division of Engineering, and Division of Water Works will
review Bid Package #1 and Bid Package #2 to determine the most cost-effective project prior to
issuing a recommendation for project award.

Tentative Bidding Schedule (Notice to Bidders will be provided in MS Word format once virtual
links are added to the Notice to Bidders Document):
March 14, 2025 First Advertisement
March 21, 2025 Second Advertisement
March 26, 2025 Pre-Bid Meeting, 10:00 AM at Board of Public Works Conference Room
April 22, 2025 Bid Opening
May 13 or May 27, 2025 Project Award
For questions regarding the subject Agenda Request or project scope of work, contact
Jacob M.
