Klosinski, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Title Sheet <br />Edison Road Gravity Sewer and Roadway Replacement (East of Larrison <br />Road) <br />County Project No. 92501-S <br />DATE: February 27, 2025 <br /> <br />The Board of Public Works executed a Memorandum of Understanding Regarding Sanitary <br />Sewer Upgrades with St. Joseph County on June 11, 2024. As part of St. Joseph County’s <br />desire to develop the Indiana Enterprise Center, St. Joseph County committee to design, <br />construct and dedicate sanitary sewer system improvements. All sanitary pump station <br />improvements and gravity sewer improvements are funded by St. Joseph County. <br /> <br />At present, the Larrison Road Pump Station, Smilax Pump Station, and State Road 2 Pump <br />Station (new facility) and gravity sewer improvements along Smilax, Larrison and State Road 2 <br />are currently under construction. <br /> <br />The Department of Public Works Division of Engineering and Division of Wastewater have <br />coordinated with the St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission, Engineering Department, <br />and engineering firm DLZ Indiana during the design phase of the subject project to ensure <br />conformance with City of South Bend Sanitary Sewer Standards and the project is ready to bid. <br /> Construction will be in Spring/Summer 2025 with testing and commissioning slated for late Q3- <br />2025 to early Q4-2025. <br /> <br />County Project No. 92501-S <br />Edison Road Gravity Sewer and Roadway Replacement (East of Larrison Road) <br /> <br />The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners requested the Board of Public Works execute <br />the subject Title Sheet provided. <br /> <br />Engineering reviewed the Plans and Specifications for this project and determined that the <br />proposed improvements are designed in conformance with the City of South Bend Engineering <br />Design & Construction Standards & Specifications. Engineering recommends the Board of <br />Public Works execute the Title Sheet. <br /> <br />For questions regarding the subject Agenda Request, contact Jacob M.
