I REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 14, 1991 to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Coleman. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. BILLS. FIRST READING BILL NO. 1 -91 A BILL TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY: THE SECOND EAST -WEST ALLEY SOUTH OF LINCOLN WAY WEST LOCATED BETWEEN THE WEST RIGHT -OF -WAY OF BLAINE AND THE EAST LINE OF THE FIRST NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY WEST OF BLAINE, PART SITUATED IN KLINGLES MICHIGAN AVE. ADDITION. This bill had first reading. Council Member Luecke made a motion to refer this bill to the Zoning and Vacation Committee and set it for public hearing and third reading January 28, 1991, seconded by Council Member Coleman. The motion carried. BILL NO. 2 -91 A BILL TO VACATE THE FIRST EAST -WEST ALLEY NORTH OF SOUTH STREET, LOCATED BETWEEN THE WEST LINE OF FELLOWS STREET AND THE EAST LINE OF THE FIRST NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY WEST OF FELLOWS STREET, FOR A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 132 FEET AND A WIDTH OF APPROXIMATELY 11 FEET. This bill had first reading. Council Member Coleman made a motion to refer this bill to the Zoning and Vacation Committee and set it for public hearing and third reading January 28, 1991, seconded by Council Member Duda. The motion carried. BILL NO. 3 -91 A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED 261 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF BENDIX DRIVE AND ELWOOD AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR SAM ENTERPRISES CORPORATION. This bill had first reading. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to refer this bill to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Coleman. The motion carried. BILL NO. 4 -91 A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 19, SECTION 2 -213 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS "SCHEDULE OF ORDINANCE AND CODE VIOLATIONS. This bill had first reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to refer this bill to the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski The motion carried. BILL NO. 5 -91 A BILL APPROPRIATING $92,000 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. This bill had first reading. Council Member Luecke made a motion to refer this bill to the Human Resources Committee, seconded by Council Member Duda. The motion carried. BILL NO. 6 -91 A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON PORTAGE RD., SOUTH OF THE INDIANA TOLL ROAD AND CLEVELAND RD. IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. This bill had first reading. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to refer this bill to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Duda. The motion carried. NEW BUSINESS Reports from Area Plan: Bill No. 99 -90 Rezone - 18106 Ireland Bill No. 100 -90 Rezone - 3900 Lincolnway West Bill No. 101 -90 East side of Portage Rd. north of Maple Bill No. 102 -90 Northeast corner of Linden & Clemens St. Council Member Slavinskas made a motion to refer these bills to the Zoning and Vacation Committee and set them for public hearing and second reading January 28, 1991, seconded by Council Member Duda. The motion carried. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR John and Betty Pendle, 6205 W. Cleveland, spoke regarding fair compensation for their property. They indicated some of the proposed projects were not in the interest of the public in the 2010 Project There being no further business to come before the Council unfinished or new, Council Member Coleman made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Soderberg.
