ORDINANCE N0. - ? _Sj AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE 1981 ETHNIC FESTIVAL, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The Common Council of the City of South Bend recognizes the importance of ethnic groups in the history of the community and wishes to encourage the promotion of the community's ethnic heritage. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THIS CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $10,000.00 is hereby appropriated for the year —from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly referred to as General Revenue Sharing, for the 1981 Ethnic Festival. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Ad- ministration and Finance as set forth below: ACCOUNT PROGRAM FA 216 1981 ETHNIC FESTIVAL DESCRIPTION AMOUNT 260.0 Other Contractual Services $10,000.00 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements . for emergency appropriations.
