SBFD & MLK SOLAR GESC <br />125-008 <br />Addendum No. 1 <br />Date: January 8, 2025 <br />To: All Registered Respondents <br />From: Lidya Abreha, Project Manager <br />You must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing the first page and returning a <br />copy with your proposal submission. <br />The items in this addendum are to become part of the original documents as if included therin. <br />Only the noted items are affected, and the remainder of the original contract document is to <br />remain in its entirety. <br />This Addendum modifies the Contract Documents as follows: <br />Section C — Response Format For Respondent's Submittal. <br />ADD <br />7e. Provide a statement confirming your understanding of the Davis -Bacon Act (40 <br />U.S.C. §§ 3141-3148), and commitment to comply with its provisions should you be <br />awarded the contract. <br />Additionally, below is a summary of the questions received and their respective answers: <br />Question 1: Are some of the obstructions on the roof of the Central Fire Station such as <br />HVAC system staying in place? <br />Answer 1: Yes, under the current scope of work for the roofing project, the structures will <br />remain in place. <br />Question 2: MLK Dream Center: is the roof solar ready? Were the designs that were <br />previously recommended built into the roof to allow for ease of a solar connection? <br />Answer 2: MLK Dream Center was designed and constructed to support the installation <br />of solar panels. <br />Question 3: What is required for prevailing wages? <br />Answer 3: Primarily for Central Fire Station to be in compliance with EECBG funding. <br />Question 4: For EECBG compliance: Is BABA (Build America Buy America) also <br />required? <br />Answer 4: No. We are exempt from BABA requirements. <br />We have also managed to schedule a site visit to both facilities. Participation in this visit is <br />entirely optional and attendance will not influence the selection process.
