ORDINANCE N0. ]/O V- ,'a <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SOUTH <br />BEND REGIONAL POLICE ACADEMY FUND. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Since the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration <br />has been closed out, it is necessary for the South Bend <br />Regional Police Academy to secure funds from private and public <br />law enforcement agencies in order to continue its training pro- <br />grams. <br />The South Bend Regional Police Academy Fund is being <br />established to collect the funds donated from other law enforce- <br />ment agencies. These funds will be used for training, supplies <br />and equipment necessary to continue the training programs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. The South Bend Regional Police Academy <br />Fund be estahe� to collect monies received for training <br />programs. <br />SECTION II. Funds may be expended from the South <br />Bend Regional Police Academy Fund for training supplies and <br />equipment necessary to maintain the training programs. <br />SECTION III.
