ORDINANCE NO. 7 Lod —got AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE MAXIMUM SALARY FOR THE POSITION OF WATER WORKS PROJECT ENGINEER TO BE HELD BY THE CITY ENGINEER STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Since the City Engineer has assumed greater responsibilities in directing certain specific projects in the Bureau of Water Works, it is appropriate to compensate him for the additional areas of responsibilities he has been assigned. Additional monies have been appropriated and are available in the line item for salaries and wages within the Water Works Fund of the City of South Bend. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That the maximum annual salary for the position of Project Engineer, to be held by the City Engineer, be no more than as follows for the position listed below: POSITION SALARY /WAGES PRESENT Department of Public Works Bureau of Water Works Project Engineer -0- SALARY 14AGES PROPOSED $3,000 SECTION II. In addition to the preceding amount, the City Engineer is also funded from Engineering as City Engineer for $20,923, Water Works as Utility Commissioner for $2,920, Waste Water as Utility Commissioner for $2,920, Waste Water as Project Engineer for $3,505 and Community Development as City Engineer for $2,323 for a total annual salary of $35,591. SECTION III.
