NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. continued... <br />Ms. Manier explained that we would like the Board of Public Works to act as <br />the Authority's agent to design and construct the improvements that are <br />planned for Century Center. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and <br />unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Agency Agreement with the <br />Board of Public Works for the South Bend Central Allocation Area <br />Redevelopment Project. <br />b. Staff report on Bid for Miscellaneous Golf Course Equipment. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the Authority received one bid for a utility vehicle at <br />its last meeting. Mr. Riggs gave the staff report. <br />Mr. Riggs noted that John Quickstead, superintendent of Blackthorn Golf <br />Course, requested that the Authority reject the bid for this equipment: Mr. <br />Quickstead believes the $12,227 could be better spent on other equipment. He <br />has been able to fill the need for this utility vehicle by using other equipment. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and <br />unanimously carried, the Authority rejected the bid from Kenney Machinery <br />for Miscellaneous Golf Course Equipment. <br />4. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Claims submitted for payment October 18, 1994: <br />AIRPORT TAX EXEMPT IMPROVEMENTS <br />Internal Revenue Service $ 1,683.93 <br />AIRPORT TAXABLE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS REFUNDING <br />Cole Associates <br />$ 1,596.83 <br />-2- <br />
