(f) Records required; access; retention. <br />(1) Every holder shall keep accurate records of receipts <br />from operations, operating and other expenses, capital expenditures <br />and suchother operating information as may be required by the Board <br />of Public Works. <br />(2) Every holder shall maintain the records containing <br />such information and other date required by this Article at a place <br />readily accessible for examination by the Board of Public works. <br />(3) All records shall be preserved and maintained for <br />three (3) calendar years. <br />(g) Advertising on vehicles. <br />Subject to the rules and regulations of the Board of Public <br />Works, any person owning or operating a taxicab or motor vehicle for <br />hire may permit advertising matter to be affixed to or installed in <br />or on such taxicabs or motor vehicles for hire. <br />(h) Taximeter required; specifications; inspection. <br />(1) All taxicabs operated under the authority of this <br />section shall be equipped with taximeters fastened in front of the <br />passengers, visible to them at all times day and night. After <br />sundown, the face of the taximeter shall be illuminated. <br />(2) The taximeter shall be operated mechanically by a <br />mechanism of standard design and construction, driven from a <br />nonpowered wheel by a flexible and permanently attached driving <br />mechanism. It shll be sealed at all points and connections which, <br />if manipulated, would affect the correct reading and recording. Each <br />taximeter shall have a flag to denote when the vehicle is employed <br />and when it is not employed. The driver shall throw the flag of such <br />taximeter in a non - recording position at the termination of each <br />trip. <br />(3) D2 axi a er 1 ubj <br />sect to inspection from time <br />to time by the /eega o' <br />r mee -�a ny inspector or other officer <br />of the Department is authorized, either on complaint of any person or <br />without such complaint, to inspect any meter. upon discovery of <br />any inaccuracy the inspection officer shall notify the person <br />operating such taxicab to cease operation. Thereupon the taxicab <br />shall be kept off the highways until the taximeter is repaired and <br />in the required working condition. <br />(i) Esta <br />rate <br />shment and change of rates of fare; di <br />(1) The scheduled rates of fare charged by the operator of <br />a taxicab shall be established by the operator.- The first scheduled <br />rates of fare and each change of scheduled rates of fare established <br />by an operator shall be effective and charged by an operator with <br />respect to all of such operator's taxicabs only after: <br />(a) the first scheduled rates of fare or the change <br />of scheduled rates of fare is filed with the Board of <br />Public Works and noted as received by the Clerk of <br />said Board; and <br />
