Leszczynski <br />Director, Public Works May 18, 1982 (219) 284 -9251 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />4th Floor, County -City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Attention: Public Works Committee <br />Dear Council Members: <br />The attached is an ordinance requesting an appropriation of $150,000.00 <br />from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund to be used to pay <br />for the cost of repairs for the Bowman Creek Project. In order to <br />alleviate flood problems at Bowman from Main Street east to Riley <br />High School, it is necessary to appropriate funding to pay for the <br />cost of certain maintenance projects and design of permanent <br />solutions to the flooding problems. The balance in the Cumulative <br />Sewer Building and Sinking Fund is $2,077,117.63. <br />Your favorable consideration on this ordinance is requested.
