ORDINANCE NO._ 2 �3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING VARIOUS PARTS OF CHAPTER 6, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 6 -4 PERMIT FEES, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,.INIANA STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The Common Council of the City of South Bend has been conducting a comprehensive review of all of its permit and license fees issued by the City. The Building Commissioner has proposed a new f_ee.schedule for new building construction as well as remodeling. The following bill incorporates these suggestions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: SECTION I. The Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is hereby amended by deleting sub - sections (1) through (6) of Section 6 -4 (a) of Chapter 6, Article 1 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, and substituting the following: Sec. 6 -4. Permit Fees. (a) The fees to be charged for the issuing of permits by the Building Department, not otherwise provided for in the Building Code adopted by Section 6 -5, shall be paid at the time the permit is issued and shall be as follows: All new con and remodel fee schedul VALUATION $1.00 to $1,000 $1,001 to $2,000 $2,001 to $10,000 $10.001 to $100,000 $$100.001 and up all alterations, repairs sublect to the followine PERMIT FEE $5.00 $5.00 for the first $1,000 plus .50 cents for each ad itiona 00 or fraction thereof, to an icu�- ing $2,000 $9.50 for the first $2,000 lus $2.50 for each additional $i3OUO or fraction thereof, to an iuding 10,000 $29.50 for the first $10,000 plus X1.00 for each additional 1,000 or fraction thereof, to and inc udin 100 000 $119.50 for the first $100,000 plus .50 for each additional 1,0_0 or fraction thereof.
