ORDINANCE NO. 703% -,fA <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ARSON <br />PROTECTION FUND. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />The State of Indiana has given the City of South Bend <br />an Arson Protection Assistance Grant, which must be spent for training <br />and equipment on arson investigations. These monies are to be kept <br />separate and records must be maintained on expenditures. <br />This fund would also accomodate donations to arson <br />investigations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. That an Arson Protection Fund be established <br />and that all monies received from the Arson Protection Assistance Grant be <br />deposited in that fund. <br />SECTION II. That monies in the Arson Protection Fund be <br />used by the police and fire departments exclusively for the purpose of train - <br />ing arson investigators and for the purchase of equipment to be used for arson <br />investigations. <br />SECTION III.
