Kernan Common Council County -City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Council Members: In accordance with Ordinance No. 6976 -81, the following recommendation is being submitted to the Common Council con- cerning the petition filed by Super Auto Salvage to vacate the first seven foot north -south alley west of and adjacent to Lot F, John E. Walz Revised Addition, running south from the south line of vacated Dean Street to the north line of Sherwood Street. Favorable comments have been received by the Board from the Engineering Department, Area Plan Commission and Community Development Department for vacation of the above mentioned public right -of -way. A public hearing was held on November 1, 1982, by the Board concerning the proposed vacation. No remonstrators were present to speak against the vacation, and no written objections were filed with the Board. A copy of the excerpts of minutes from that public hearing is enclosed herein.
