ORDINANCE NO. 20 IS-- 1Y Q <br />r <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SPECIAL FUND <br />TO BE KNOWN AS THE COP FUND. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />The Common Council finds a need for establishing among the <br />accounts of the City administered by the Controller a special fund <br />designated for the purpose of receiving public and private money to <br />be used for purchase of equipment and other items required for <br />implementation and administration of the Community Oriented Police <br />Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND THAT: <br />SECTION I: There is hereby established among the accounts <br />of the City administered by the Controller a special fund to be <br />known as the COP fund. <br />SECTION II: The COP Fund may receive from public and <br />private sources money to be used for purchase of equipment and <br />other items required for implementation and administration of the <br />Community Oriented Police Program. <br />SECTION III: This ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />F88 Ili CLERKS OffivE <br />DEC 81981 <br />Isi -READhVG Ia- /(/ —£t/ <br />PUBLIC HEARING / .2_ <br />2rd READING <br />NOT APPROYEO <br />REFERRED <br />PA5SED / —l> — %z <br />
