ORDINANCE NO. 7 o n 4- y AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Chapter 21, Municipal Code). STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The Common Council recognizes the need for Development Controls for the Monroe Sample Development Area. The Council recognizes that the current zoning of the Development Area is not in keeping with the Development Controls of the adopted Monroe Sample Development Plan. In order to promote the development of planned sub - areas, the following described real estate is to be rezoned. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: SECTION I. Ordinance No. 4990 -68, as amended, which is commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: A parcel of land being a part of the City of South Bend, Portage Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana and being more particularly described as follows, viz: Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Monroe Street and the centerline of the first north south alley east of Michigan Street in said City; thence south along said alley centerline to the centerline of South Street; thence east along said centerline to the centerline of St. Joseph Street; thence south along said centerline to the centerline of Bronson Street; thence east along said centerline to the centerline of Lincolnway East; thence northwest along said centerline to the centerline of Monroe Street; thence west along said centerline to the centerline of Fellows Street; thence south along said centerline to the centerline of the first east west alley south of Monroe; thence west along said alley centerline to the centerline of Carroll Street; thence north along said centerline to the first east west alley south of Monroe Street; thence west along said alley centerline to the centerline of the first north south alley west of Carroll Street; thence north along said alley centerline to the centerline of Monroe Street; thence west along said centerline to the point of beginning. be and the same are hereby established as "B" Residential, "E" Height and Area.
